Teacher Training Testimonials

“A few weeks ago you requested feedback on the program, and it has taken me a bit to figure out what it all meant. I’m one of those who battles the moment, but then appreciates and misses the moment later. I’m getting better, thanks to yoga. :o) So I’m sifting through the teacher training book, and cleaning up words and phrases and punctuation, and remembering little things here and there that I’d tucked away from the summer. I came to the “Mantras & Meditation” page, and read the words “Bolo Bolo Sat Shiva Bolo, Om Namah Shivaya” and the melody of Luna & Josh and that song just hit me…hard. I have never felt closer to a divine presence then I did when we sang that song as a teacher training group. I have never felt more connected to a group of people then I did when we were dancing and getting lost together in rhythm and song. And I struggled all summer feeling connected to people. But the power of mantra and of song erased whatever was holding me back and I was washed over with warm and fuzzies, which I now know was pure and simple, one word: peace. It was a feeling I hadn’t ever felt, and teacher training brought me to that place. We were all there for so many different reasons, but for sure, we were all there seeking peace somewhere in life. For that moment and feeling, I am grateful to my teachers (ahem, you), and for the experience. :o) Having rediscovered “Bolo,” I know I’m going to permanently have it in my heart. I may even sing it to my students today (yoga, that is–8th graders would for sure think I was a nut). :o) And I’m going to go now and request a personal day on April 22nd so that I can hopefully join in the Earth Day celebration, and maybe even sing a little Bolo… ”

Just enjoy the process. I am doing just that. Through the time I have been in teacher training already I have been filled with knowledge of the body, breath, mind and spirit. I am learning a great deal not only about my inner light but the light within others and how we can spread it to the world. Through this training I am experiencing first hand that a calm heart and peace of mind with allow your outlook greatness to trickle onto others and to the world. Every moment is precious and I have only begun a study that I know will be a life long learning process for me.”

“My teacher training experience at Yogahome was very positive and With YogahOMe’s teacher training program, anyone with a love for yoga can learn and develop the basic skills needed for teaching or just deepening a personal practice. I learned so much about so many facets of yoga that I didn’t even know existed, and now I can’t imagine not knowing. The environment created in teacher training provided a safe place for any level of yogi to learn and reach the next level in their personal yoga journey. It opened my eyes to understanding this is just the tip of the iceburg, but I can now begin to melt it away and truly begin my journey. The experience is wonderful. Shanti Om!!!”

” My teacher training experience at Yogahome was very positive and rewarding. I received the well rounded experience I was seeking; you really get a little bit of everything. The quality of the teachers is outstanding. There is Katy, whom is a wonderfully gifted teacher and is very easy to work with. The pearls of wisdom I got from Lilias, priceless! Not to mention the fabulous guest instructors that come in for workshops. The pace of the training is very manageable with one weekend a month. That gives you plenty of time to digest the information before the next session. Overall, I feel it is a quality program and doubt there is a better teacher training program in the Cincinnati area.”

“After yoga teacher training, I realized how important the gift i was given. Through poses, meditation and breath work, I was able to gain considerably enhance my ability to focus, concentrate and not react to day to day issues. During the financial crisis, it enabled me to stay calm and manage my business and deal with client emotions.

Because of the personal affect it had on me, I decided to introduce and have our company pay for yoga instructors to come to our company to teach our employees the wisdom of these ancient practices. We have been doing this for about a year and a half and i can see some lasting benefits to our employees and their productivity. They love practicing. One thing i had not anticipated but became a spinoff of this: because they “practice” together, it really enhances their ability to work as a team. I cannot pinpoint the reason, but it’s probably because they have a shared experience in learning together.

Since I became trained, I have joined the board of an institute which is scientfically studying outcomes of yoga in conjucntion with Harvard Medical School. The preliminary findings are quite dramatic as to benefits produced from serious yoga practive. However, they are preliminary, but will build with more data. In the meantime, all of the yoga community can anecdoctally testify to the enormous personal benefits derived. If not, why would over twenty million people in the United States be engaged in this endeavor?”

“I thought about going through the YogahOMe teacher training program for a full year before I dove in. My only regret was waiting. It is truly a life-changing process of awakening, discovery, and improvement of one’s own self, one’s own yoga journey, and a giant leap forward on the never-ending path to the awakening heart and self-enlightenment. It was a joy to go through the entire process, on so many levels – I cannot recommend it enough. The knowledge shared and the bonds formed will stay with you forever, and beyond.”

“I do not know If this short note will express the enormous contentment I feel. I do not know if they are mindful but are from my heart. ” What teaching training means to me?  It is more than a training. It is the beginning of a long path to follow. I just feel that  I excavated a hole and starting to select the seeds I want to grow. The course is really extensive , so many things to learn , to practice , to feel, to acknowledge and accomplish . It will no be enough time to immerse in this wonderful world of Yoga even though I would live 120 years . Katy makes ease the digestion of  complex concepts; while LIlias makes you to understand and explain difficult asanas and it’s backgrounds easily  through words and analogies . Katy and Lilias are a LOVELY Master’s team.
