Urban Zen: The Urban Zen Method equips the student with the ultimate tools for sustaining well-being. Urban Zen Integrative Therapy is an inward journey of integration created by Rodney and Colleen Yee. Practices include restorative poses, aromatherapy, reiki, breath awareness, and meditation. In a world of over-stimulation, these practices can offer a deep well of rejuvenation. Urban Zen addresses physical and emotional symptoms of an over-stimulated life Pain, Anxiety, Nausea, Insomnia, Constipation, and Exhaustion. This class is appropriate for all levels, whether you are recovering from an illness or injury or are simply in need of rest and recovery. This class is extremely beneficial for the “advanced” yogi, helping to uncover the streams of pranic movement. Young Living Essential Oils will be used in this class, if you have sensitivity to smell or an allergy please inform the teacher.
Yoga for Stress: It’s no secret that yoga is a great antidote to stress. This class is specifically designed to help sand down the edges. The focus of class each week will change, making each class unique. Inspiration for each class may draw from many a wonderful place….Releasing an area of the body (i.e.neck/shoulders or hips).Sequencing smartly to prepare the body for a pose. Holding the flavor of an inspiring reading or Universal theme. Letting gravity do the work to create release in the body. Classes will typically wind down with one or two restorative poses or even a guided visualization, and end in savasana accompanied by mind-quieting chants and the magical sounds of the harmonium.
Lilias Level 2: The “First Lady of Yoga,” Lilias Folan, right here at yogahOMe! Lilias presents a class for experienced students who have completed the Lilias Level I or II series. Work deeper into poses and at a faster pace with advanced breathing and meditation techniques. ECU’s possible.

With attention to the subtleties of breathing and alignment, students may achieve mind-body integration, increased flexibility and strength. Some previous yoga experience is recommended.
Gentle hOMe Flow: The softer side of the signature yogahOMe hOMe flow. Gentle hOMe flow places emphasis on compassion for oneself and the subtle rhythm of the breath. When we move mindfully, we open to our inner world. This gentle hOMe flow moves the students closer to their own center of stability and equilibrium. Perfect for the first-time yogi or those who like a gentler practice.
Restorative Yoga: Restorative Poses free the body and mind of unnecessary tension, reduce stress, and create a balanced healing environment by calming the central nervous system. Attention to the breath is an integral part of a restorative practice because it brings the student into the present moment. In restorative poses the body is fully supported for physical and psychological comfort should be used. Restorative yoga is perfect for all ages and levels. We all need MORE restoration, rejuvenation and care in our lives. Give yourself the gift of mindful rest.
Hot Power Hour/Hot Hardcore Power: Wake up your practice with Power Hour! Its a fast-paced vinyasa class with options to explore more challenging postures in a heated room. This class is all about having a little more fun and connecting to will and inner strength on and off the mat. Studio heated to 100 degrees.
Yin Yoga/Warm Yin: Yin yoga focuses on passively holding poses for longer periods of time to open up connective tissues deep within joints. Yin is a beautifully accessible form of Asana for all yogis – from never-evers to advanced practitioners, everyone can benefit from this graceful, meditative practice. Perfect for the yogi who wants a hot class, but prefers a more gentle asana practice. Studio heated to 85 degrees.
Yoga Fundamentals: YOGIC BUILDING BLOCKS. Yoga Fundamentals creates a strong foundation to support a healthy and vibrant practice. Suitable for all beginners, and all ages.
hOMe for the People: yogahOMe goes anti-establishment offering suggested donation yoga classes in Cincinnati, Ohio. There will be no correct cloths, no correct payment, PAY WHAT YOU CAN and flow along with a graceful HOT hOMe Flow. Bring an OPEN MIND and a heart full of LOVE.
Anusara Mixed Level: A graceful approach to vinyasa, focusing on intelligent movement and alignment with the mind, body, spirit connection.
Medicine Dance Vinyasa: This movement experience is a journey through the emotional body. We will dance to break down barriers and tear back the veil that holds us stuck. This dance is not the pretty dance, but the dance of truth, of freedom, of the primordial pulse. This is an opportunity to feel the beating heart of source in your chest. Shake out the old stories, see and be seen and to hear and be heard. We will draw on the guiding nectar of Gabriel Roth’s 5 Rhythms, Anne Bogart’s View points, the essence of mother earth , father sky and all the guiding forces of nature. The class will also include the medicine of song, asana and pranayama, in a heated room.
Runner’s High: Join Heather Poast for a relaxed 3-mile run followed by a 1hr 15min hot yoga class. Run will begin at the yogahOMe Oakley studio at 8:15am. We will run in the Oakley/Hyde Park neighborhood. Runner’s will learn how to tune into the fine instrument of their body. Yoga for Runners will bring the body into balance by lengthening the muscles to prevent injury and decrease inflammation, linking body with breath to increase awareness of the bodies strengths and limitations, core strengthening to improve posture and improving balance to increase focus. Runners will run with more joy, fluidity and awareness. What better combination than running followed by a deep stretch?!
Yoga at the Cincinnati Art Museum: Discover the ancient art of yoga at the Cincinnati Art Museum with yogi, Werner Hildebrand – teacher at yogahOMe. Through meditation, breathing practices and yoga postures, participants will learn to be more stable, still and illuminated. This monthly course welcomes all levels and will open space in the body, cultivate mindfulness and touch the soul. Wear lightweight, comfortable clothing that doesn’t restrict movement and bring a yoga mat. Limited mats will be provided. Be prepared for class, changing facilities are not available.
